It’s no way easy to face up to or even think of our sins, weaknesses and misdeeds, but to confess to our Lord how far we have gone astray from him is the first step to come closer to Him (Exalted is He) and truly feel that closeness.

It’s critically important to come back to ourselves acknowledging the fact we have been unjust and unfair to ourselves;  our body, mind and heart, and seek help and mercy from God, asking Him to forgive us.

Today’s supplication simply has to do with self-respect, commitment and humility.
